Location: Meat Market Steakhouse, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Reports To: Chef de Cuisine / Kitchen Manager

Position Summary
As a Cook at Meat Market Steakhouse, you will be responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to established recipes, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, speed, teamwork, and a strong commitment to food safety and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Execute dishes consistently while maintaining quality, flavor, and timing during service.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations and kitchen equipment.
- Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Properly label, store, and rotate food products following FIFO standards.
- Assist with inventory management and notify management of low stock or quality issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1–3 years of experience as a cook in a high-volume or upscale restaurant environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong sense of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
