Job Description : We are seeking an Applications Administrator!


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • MCSA, MCSE, Security+, CCNA, or other professional certifications, preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft database or Oracle environment development.
  • Experience with Oracle database and MSSQL-associated tools (Designer, TOAD, SQL Plus, explain plan, DTS, integration services, etc.).
  • The position requires three (3) years of related experience.

Essential functions:
  • Responsible for managing business and operational applications.
  • Leads systems and/or process analysis and design to meet functional and organizational requirements, individually and/or through assigned staff.
  • Develops and executes business application testing, installs, rollouts and upgrades. Develops application specific disaster recovery plans.
  • Understands the business applications that are considered core organization-wide applications.
  • Understands the business needs and, develop or find solutions within the available resources of the department.
  • Creates tests cases and manuals to ensure data quality and obtain the user acceptance in new application configurations and reports development.
  • Collaborates with business users and software vendors to troubleshoot configuration, installation and implementation issues.
  • Demonstrates software and discuss options with business users within the organization.
  • Communicates problems and resolutions to systems support personnel to improve ongoing services delivery and support.
  • Understands the business and be able to articulate their needs into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of application systems, configuration, and procedures.
  • Supports the production environment; logs and tracks problems; responds to questions and support requests and ensures the production environment meets service levels established with business units.
  • Ensures outstanding problems are addressed by the appropriate support group/individual and priorities and deadlines are established. Confirms impact of user problems are communicated via the various communication channels. 
  • Plans and coordinates special systems projects activities to ensure performance in a timely basis within budget and cost limitations.
  • Executes any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
