Job Description :
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Reviews PRDOH zones and identifies locations to be visited. Coordinates routes for structures at-risk
assessments and prepares materials to complete the assessments.
• Identifies at-risk structures, performing visual inspections, conducting interviews with residents, providing
program information about the SFM Program and leaving visit notices when homeowners weren’t available.
• Documents and reports structures at-risk assessments findings in the system of records.
• Prepares weekly report of Structure At-Risk Assessment.
• Reviews the structures at-risk assessments that were referred for second review.
• Coordinate outreach efforts and events, visit sites as needed, and provide program orientation to applicants and
citizens.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in housing assistance programs.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge related
to applicant assistance coordination.
• Assist with program activities, to include processing, monitoring, tracking, and reporting applications within a
functional area with little to no direct supervision.
• Assists assigned homeowners with all program-related inquiries in an accurate and expeditious manner.
• Participates in team, site, or program-level file update exercises as required to meet set goals for delivery.
• Identifies and escalates issues to the supervisor as necessary.
• Protects and secures the personally identifiable information and other of non-public information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
• Ability to acquire a working knowledge of applicable rules and regulations and the ability guidance to homeowners
on program policy and procedures.
• Ability to articulate details of the program in person, over the phone, and in written communication in a manner
that is understandable by persons of differing backgrounds and education levels.
• Ability to use analytical skills to interpret and evaluate information.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in large data sets.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
• Ability to work successfully with socio-economic diverse populations.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job function with little to no supervision, while remaining
acutely aware of the timeliness, meeting deadlines and performance measures.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills, and effective interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills and knowledge of customer service best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Available to perform some evening or weekend work as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience providing customer service or performing in a role that required extensive public contact.
• Experience in some sort of home inspection process.
