Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and proficiency in accounting software. As a Senior Collector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by effectively managing accounts and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email to discuss payment arrangements and resolve issues.
  • Utilize accounting software to track account status, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Apply financial concepts to assess client situations and negotiate repayment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to collections.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to address client inquiries and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to debt collection.

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines. Master or Specialization highly desired.
  • Demonstrable experience in B2B collections with a minimum of 5 to 10 years and desirable expertise in supervisory capacity.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills; ability to use collections and ERP software; proven track record of meeting or exceeding collections targets.
  • Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to support team members and contribute to continuous process improvements.
