Job Description :

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the accounting area.
  • Analyze the Financial Statements to determine the main variations and their causes.
  • Carry out the process of consolidating Financial Statements and sending the journal entries.
  • Prepare and review general flows and reconciliations.
  • Review and validate payroll supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review preparation of intercompany balances.
  • Prepare and review the calculation and payment of taxes required by the company.
  • Review and monitor the organization's expenses weekly
  • Preparation of general reports for Latam Regional Office and Local compliance.
  • Prepare, review and control of the issuance of checks and bank transfers.
  • Daily supervision of available in banks and payment control.
  • Support to audit processes (external, internal, compliance and annual financial statements).
  • Payment to suppliers with application of advance liabilities.
  • Preparation of reports (Cash Report By Week, Banks Petty Recons, Fx Exposure Report, Daily Reports, Major and Balance, Preparation of complementary information for Job analysis)
  • Support to achieve the EBITDA target through excellent control management and expense optimization coordinated with other areas of the company.
  • Active participation in the month-end closing process, comply with the deadlines of requirements and reports, notes, tax compliance, corporate and statutory accounting journal entries.
  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
  • Prepare Tax and Financial Reporting, including the preparation of Tax Returns, Payment of Estimated Taxes and follow up on receipts, monthly preparation of current and deferred tax calculations, notifications, and other statutory taxes.
  • Review tax returns and monthly/quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Find and recommend opportunities for process improvement in company procedures.
  • Manage and facilitate internal and external tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, among others.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Help as key contact point and relationship with Corporate and Regional tax team on all tax and other issues as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish, oral and written)
  • 3-5 years of experience in full cycle accounting
  • Preferred CPA
